The Sanctuary For All – Starting Your Own Group!

May God direct your work and effort with blessings.

Hello to everyone considering starting their own Sanctuary Group or Church!

First and foremost what we must always keep in mind, is that God Himself is the only authority of every Sanctuary Group anywhere in the world.  We can have Pastor led Sanctuary’s, or Group rotating leadership Sanctuary’s without any incident of offence or cultish thinking and behaviour so long as we continue to Trust God, be guided by humility and take no actions based on self-seeking.  Pastor led groups can be a little more difficult to maintain the level of equality required for all in the church to feel welcome to discover God in their own experience, which is why we developed the “Pastoral Guidelines” document and video as a dedication and devotion that is suggested for all Pastors to adapt and make a daily part of their service commitment.

Each and every person in any Sanctuary group is an equal child of God – regardless of their level of belief, commitment or understanding.  New people to any Sanctuary often bring a wonderful new curiosity a powerful reminder to us of where we ourselves came from, and how much God has already been doing in our life.  Therefore even those without any knowledge, or any experience are an asset and a growing asset if they continue to join us.  It is important for us to remember our continuing discipleship in Christ, and that none of us graduate as professionals.  We are perpetual students and explorers of the Kingdom of God.

Sanctuary groups can be Online groups – using Zoom or other platforms to gather together and awaken to God, or they can be face-face fellowships meeting anywhere each group wishes – homes, parks, indoors, outdoors or in churches themselves.   There is no condition for which a Sanctuary Group can gather other than 2 or more people desiring to do so together.  Our entire purpose is to help all of us develop a relationship to God that will empower and awaken His spirit of Life in us, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Scripture, the Teachings of Jesus Christ, and our own personal experiences.

Below you will find some reference material to help you get started with your own Sanctuary Group.  There are group formats and pastoral formats, depending on how you wish to be led.  These are merely suggested ways of formatting a service and are not law or required.  Each group may decide for themselves how best to hold a church service or group gathering.  You will also find the Sanctuary Charter, which is the foundation of all Sanctuary groups, based in principle, so that we do remember why we gather, and how best to help serve one another in our personal and united commitment to God.  Even so, the Charter itself is merely an outline, not enforced or demanded, but designed in the hope that we all have a foundation for which to stand together in our love and devotion to God.  Within the Charter are the Ten Pillars of the Sanctuary – these also are guidelines for every member to approach and address themselves in their own growth, not enforced, nor is anyone to be evaluated for their work in practising them.  They do make for excellent group discussion topics.  All of the documents of the Sanctuary For All are guidelines and suggestions – as their merit and worth must be determined by the individual for the betterment of their own lives, and adopted or accepted by each group for the purpose of their gatherings.

On the Bible Study Videos pages, you will find the Bible Study notes of each talk given by Ryan in the video.  All of these notes may be used for your own personal study, your own talks, your own church or group services and your own purposes both within the Sanctuary For All, and outside of it.  We make them available for wherever you believe they may be helpful to others.
